The End

Two words I've never written before today, "The End".

I've written my whole life.  In fact, I don't remember a time when I didn't write.  It's just something that I do.  Sometimes I do it better than others, but I do it.  I've always got something buzzing around my brain trying to morph into a full-blown story, but today I finally made it!

I've got tons of half-completed novels on my jump drive and in random notebooks around the house, but now I can say I've completed one!  As in, from the beginning, all the way to "The End".

There's a lot of editing that needs to be done, but I think I'm just going to sit and enjoy this surreal feeling of actually being done for a bit before I jump into the sad business of editing.

Bravo!!! I can really relate to what you said about lots of unfinished novels!! It's SO hard to get to THE END sometimes!! I'm proud of you!!

BTW - Who knew Snoopy had such issues with Root Beer?? Shocking!!

Congrats! There's something bittersweet about finishing ... almost post-partum depression along with the joy.

Thanks, Terry, that's exactly it!

Lil Dreamer - who knew?

Mom - you'll be helping proof and watch for continuity.

K - Thanks. How's law school? Still surviving?

Congrats! How thrilling to have pulled an entire story out of your brain and put it to paper for the rest of us. Seriously - thrilled for you.

But I still think you're insane for running ;)

Thank you so much for linking up the Double Dog Dare. I am so hopeful we can get this to those kids.

GunDiva, survival is a relative term right now. My first "all or nothing" final exam is tomorrow with the second a week from tomorrow. Ask me again after that. Also, stay tuned on my blog. I may have some big news in the next couple of weeks.
