More Stuff I Wish I Didn't Know...

You'd think being married to a chef would be all amazing food and great kitchen gadgets wouldn't you?  But noooooo.  First, I learn about blue bandaids and now, this.

You know when you go to seafood places and they have live lobsters and crawfish?  You wanna know why they're live in those water tanks?

I bet you don't, but I'm gonna tell you anyway.

They're in there to "purge".  Yep, that's exactly what it sounds like.  They put them in those tanks without food so that they can't make any poop and the poop that they might have in their system is "purged".  They do this so that they don't have to de-vein them.

And people wonder why I don't eat crustacean.

AAAAAAAHHHH!! Make it stop!

I am totally gonna cry for those lobsters.

Either that, or I'm gonna laugh really hard next time one of them pinches a Deadliest Catch dude.

What ya didn't say was that "de-veining" is just a nice way of saying poop chute removal..

(Yep. That Gibbs smack is a comin'... LOL)

Wow, now I want to save a lobster. After I rinse the vomit the "poop chute removal" comment cause to magically appear in my mouth.

I didn't know that your husband was a chef. I am starting to like seafood less and less.

They say that ignorance is bliss....

But I still think that I would rather eat a poop chute than cough up a hair ball.....

Just saying.

And people wonder why Leviticus specifically mentions NOT eating bottomfeeding creatures.

I am sick and disgusting cause that doesn't phase me at all. Of course, I did watch my husband gut a hog earlier today, so I might be a tad bit desensitized.

OH, that is gross! I don't eat seafood much either. This is one more reason!
