At the beginning of 2008, this blog would have been called "Just another shitty day..." a lot can change in a short period of time and I'm so thankful for it!

Don't Mess With The Blogfia!
One of my Blogfia family members, Jane, is facing a rough stretch.
Last night, her son was jumped and spent the night in the ER. You see, there's been an "uprising" of bullies at his school, who have been terrorizing the other kids. Last night, it was his turn.
Seriously, what is wrong with these kids?
I heard a something in my class today, "I'm gonna beat you like your mother shoulda." I'm kinda feeling that way right now towards those boys. Before y'all get all pissed off about violence begetting violence, I'm stating how I fell, not what I'll do.

I stand behind you!
Know what? It takes a parent to BE a parent. IMO that's most of the issue with today's rotten little snot nosed punk ass juvies roaming around, getting into trouble and beating the crap out of other kids, among other things.
If parents "man up" and BE parents, teach the kids right from wrong, teach them that their actions have consequences (both good and bad), then maybe-- just maybe-- there would not be *as* much of an issue.
Maybe it might be a bit safer out there for our kids. Maybe, were that the case, I wouldn't feel as much of a need to be armed while out in public.
Let me tell you how I feel. I feel I should hold them for you while you work them over.
Bill
Word verification = crave. Maybe that's the word... not feel, crave.
I'll help Allenspark hold them.
They would not sit for a month if they were my kids and did anything remotely close to that....and child services be damned.
It is horrible how violent kids are becoming. Did you see the story recently about the girl from Wisconsin who was bullied and then committed suicide? My heart breaks for her parents. I brought in a guest speaker to visit with my sophomores about bullying.
Violent kids have always been around. You just hear more about it today. It is actually better in some ways because a lot of schools have a policy of ZERO tolerance for violence now. Still, if it was my kid that was hurt, I'd be looking for a way to maim the little bastards who did it. (I wouldn't do it, but I'd damn well be thinking about it.)
That is absolutely awful.
I can't even imagine what that family is going through.
And yes, I'd want to pound some of those little shits into the ground, too.
I read about this over on Amber's blog...broke my heart. I've been over to Jane's blog to offer some love and support. Seeing your children hurting is awful.
I've already been over to Jane's to offer some love and support. It's an awful thing to see your children hurting.
It makes me sick to see the violence these mere kids are commiting these days. Surely they aren't the first generation to feel frustration and anger - but I think they are the first generations that don't have a healthy fear of their parents and the consequences of their actions... thanks of course to mollycoddling do-gooder parents who would never dream of correcting their little "darling".
Sick, I am just sick over this. Bullying has gotten to an all time crazy high but this, this is assault plain and simple and I hope those kids are charged with a crime and convicted!
It is sickening that kids are becoming so violent. I couldn't imagine what I would do if I had kids and someone did that to them.
I read Jane's post and was flabbergasted....I'm a member of the Blogfia, too! We stick together!
Just wanted to stop by and thank you for visiting me and commenting on my blog. I really appreciate your support. Love your slideshow, too---I want a hedgehog!
