I grumble about the gym, but it's not the gym I don't like, it's the getting off my polar bear ass and going to the gym. Once I'm there, it's all good. I love the smell. I love the sweat. And I really, really love the feeling the next day of the fatigued muscles and the sense of accomplishment. I don't, however, like the painful soreness. Fatigue is one thing; pain is entirely different.
I may, if I play my cards right, be able to make it tomorrow and Saturday, which will make it three days this week and squeak in my goal to make it three times a week.
Today's workout:
- 28 minutes on the elliptical machine (1.99 miles, 3250 strides)
- 2 sets of 20 crunches on the crunch machine (10#)
- 2 sets of 20 on the obliques machine (10#)

Hi, thanks for finding me! Yay!! Another Lose it Bitch buddy! Glad you got to the gym today, I'm with you, nothing like that great feeling you get AFTER the workout. Good for you. Three times a week sounds like a reasonable goal to have. I have to work out at home which actually works well since I have a little one. So far so good, I'm looking forward to keeping up with you.
You're doing better than me already! I finally weighed myself and found out I gained 15 lbs in the two months I have been home. wtf. Anyway I miss having the money to go to my personal trainer, she was the bomb diggity. Now I have to like, pay rent and stuff, it sucks. I need a sugar daddy. But I should probly get in shape so I can get one.
Yeah! Work it girl! You are so going to get there!
The point is you made it there, right? That's the point. Right? Yes, it is...just go with me here.
Good for you! Sounds as though you had a great workout too.
Your word verification thingy just deleted my comment. I may kill it.
Anyway, what I was saying before I was so RUDELY interrupted...
The point is that you made it to the gym. Don't focus on the fact that you didn't get there earlier in the week...focus on the fact that you got there! And that you had a great workout! And that you'll go again today and tomorrow, right?
And it sounds like you had a great workout. And I'll stop saying and now....
DM, apparently Blogger was just playing with you, since I got both comments. :)
I've decided that instead of sending my son to pick up my daughter after work, I'd leave an hour early and work out at the gym before she gets off work, since the gym is half a block from her job. It worked out nicely last night, let's hope it keeps working out that way. The next four weeks are going to suck because of my work schedule, I'll have to figure out another way to get to the gym.
